I purchased Steel from Kim & Keith LaRoy who own a Nigerian Dwarf show herd located in western New York state. I forfeited a deposit on another buckling on another farm because when I saw Steel, I knew I had to have him! Kim & Keith worked with me and offered me to purchase him if I agreed to show him. Originally when we started we were not interested in showing at all, but I am a person who holds true to their word and I agreed to show him someday. In 2021 we took Steel to his first show and he did extremely well; I was not prepared for that! That show opened up the door for our passion of showing we never knew we had! 

Steel typically scored in the top 3 of his age class and had the honorable mention in every Best of Show ring he competed in. Steel will not be attending any more shows for extra awards, he has proven himself enough to date and I believe in giving others the opportunity to win without competing against an already finished champion.

Steel has sired many kids and is doe heavy on his contributions. His daughters have inherited his dairy character, general appearance, depth of body, pliable and soft skin, udder capacity, beautiful fore udder, rear lateral attachment, medial and teat placement. We have retained sons and daughters alike, as well as grand kids. Steel is a foundation buck here and here he will always stay!
